Description
This finely carved marble figure is the greatest missionary in history, the life-size missionary St. Francis Xavier marble statue. He stood reverently, wearing a gorgeous priest’s robe, and his thin body was hidden under the wide sleeves. The St. Francis Xavier marble statue is tied with a fringed rope around the waist. The fringes of the robes also have ornately embellished fringes. The sparse hair and short bushy beard of the St. Francis Xavier marble statue are the characteristic representative of his whole image. He covered his chest with one hand and raised the cross with Jesus in the air with the other hand, which also represented his piety and was one of the founders of the Society of Jesus. This St. Francis Xavier marble statue can be placed at the door of some important occasions as a decoration, or indoors, it can be placed on a square marble base, which is more advanced and has a religious atmosphere.
St. Francis Xavier marble statue, a Catholic missionary sent by Portugal to Asia. Born in Navarra, Spain. of noble birth. While studying philosophy at the University of Paris, he was persuaded by Ignatius Loyola to become one of the first members of the Society of Jesus. Xavier was the first Jesuit to preach in the East. First spread Catholicism to Malacca and Japan in Asia. The Catholic Church calls it “the greatest missionary in history”; the St. Francis Xavier marble statue is “the patron of missionaries”. Xavier had realized that the prestige of Christianity could not be established without refuting Buddhist teachings, and that establishing the prestige of Christianity required that missionaries sent to the East should not only have general knowledge, but also understand science. In fact, using Western knowledge and science to pave the way for the spread of Christianity has constituted yet another cornerstone of Xavier’s Eastern missionary strategy. In 1662, the St. Francis Xavier marble statue was listed as a saint by the church, and his cemetery St. Francis Xavier marble statue also became a holy place for worship.
